In this morning's prayers and meditations I reflected on a number of topics – with added insights to some.
The most readily coming to mind in is the Glorious Mysteries (From Rosary) where I reflected on the special connection between Saint John the Baptist and Jesus Christ both as pre-born on the Visitation which extended to his John's birth and presentation at Temple before the Father with Jesus as fetus, and finial when Jesus born where perhaps joined with other family from region as pre-defined meeting for Census (and then likely John as infant present), and John present when baby Jesus Presented before The Father at the Temple - with local family-connected present.
Of course our beliefs so influenced by Christmas cards and Art and homilies by priests influenced the same ways – so few people realize that Holy Mother Mary stayed and would be present at John's Birth – although it is recorded she stayed for 3 months .. after the Angel told Mary the Cousin Elisabeth was 6 months pregnant and of course she would have helped in the birth and played with infant Johns toes and changed him and was Present at his presentation at Temple before the Holy Father.
