This metal is being used to Break Rocks (in Japan, at least) – returns to a Cork-Screw shape but heated is straightened and inserted into a drilled hole in rock. Where explosives would be too dangerous or expensive.
So much cool stuff in Material Sciences!
Interesting factors in the space related explorations and eventual Robot Mining, as also undersea, and underground. In an ideal world there would be a world-wide network of research and coordination in Robotics, Material Sciences, AI, Propulsion, Power, ... with Betterment of Humanity through Science .. what I Imagined as a 5th grader when I started to Shape my Life towards such.
