This morning's prayers I realize it was not likely to have a ride to Ash Wednesday Mass which is generally okay, I have already celebrated privately through the Daily Mass on-line this morning as the local Traditional Mass is at 6 pm and that is after Sundown, and it is not a Day of Obligation.
I was hoping to briefly bounce a thought off the Father in Confession if there was not a line – which would be unusual this time of year so probably would not have anyway, but recently I Petitioned God for something and he gave it to me, and I wanted to do something with the extra dividends I figure came from the situation, was not the main reason I asked, and had not even considered that aspect of it.
I do not .. ever - perhaps .. Petition God because my life is so Blessed and I like to try to solve things myself and will and do Pray for Guidance from the Holy Ghost often to help me Transform situation to the Better, for example.
I Meditated a little on this – my reluctance – on if it had too much Pride in it, and such. God wants us to Ask for things, and there is something more valuable in this then getting the occasional things asked-for, that is in what is Given and Not is a Probe into God, into Understanding what He wants for us and does not want, and related.
The Analogy of a submarine came to mind. And Petitioning would be like the active Sonar .. Pinging away, and can provide huge information .. and how I like to be Silent and extra Sensitive in listening, like those Boomers that try to be a Hole in the water where sound disappears – that the Noise all around, our lives and God's Quiet Hand in them has plenty of information, enough that you can 'See' the underwater obstacles - Caverns and Mountains – from them.
